Maundy Thursday (4/9):
(Due to our yearly unavoidable "Kalendar
konflict" with our Lutheran Hosts, there will be no Maundy
Thursday liturgy at St. Barnabas this year. Instead, we have
been invited by the parish of St. Mary of the Angels in
Hollywood to join them for their "Mass of the Lord's
Supper", the stripping of the Altars, the Procession to the
Altar of Repose, the Maundy Thursday foot-washing, and all
of the things that go into a proper celebration of this
First Day of the Sacred Triduum.)

The Three Hours Devotion
Come, watch one hour with Him. Or two. Or all three.
The Four Passion Gospels will be read
each hour, on the hour, from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 P.M. The
Sanctuary will remain open for silent prayer and meditation
until 4:00 P.M.
Noon: The Passion According to St. Matthew
(Followed by the Great Litany)
1:00 P.M. The Passion According to St. Mark
(Followed by the Penitential Office)
2:00 P.M. The Passion According to St. Luke
(Followed by a brief Lenten Meditation)
3:00 P.M. The Passion According to St. John
The Way (Stations) of the Cross will be
walked immediately following the reading in the Nave. Please
plan to join us for all, or part of this Most Sacred Day.
7:00 P.M. "Tenebrae" Service with All Saints Lutheran Church

8:00 P.M. THE GREAT VIGIL OF EASTER
FOLLOWED IMMEDIATELY BY THE "FIRST MASS OF EASTER"

one!! Join us for the Greatest Liturgical Celebration of the
Christian Year. Come participate with us as we kindle the
New Fire, hear the chanting of the ancient words of the
Exsultet, wait in awe-filled expectation of the Glorious
Feast, and First Mass, of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus
Christ.
